I'm a certified residential building inspector with the International Code Council (Member
8000613). The International Code Council (ICC) is a United States based non-governmental organization which allows U.S. jurisdictions (states,counties, etc.) and other stakeholders to collaborate in the creation of model building codes and other building safety related standards.
The ICC identifies itself as a membership association which is dedicated to fire prevention and building safety. It develops construction and safety codes used in residential and commercial construction, both within the United States and elsewhere, promoting consistent code enforcement and higher quality construction.
 Solid Training and Education You Can Trust
I'm trained in mold inspection and sampling by Inspection Training Associates (ITA). ITA is the only ASHI endorsed, home inspector training classroom course. ITA has been training inspectors for over 12 years and was the first licensed inspection school in the nation. I've passed both the NACHI exam and the ITA exam and I am certified by both organizations.
My training doesn't stop there. I am one of only a few inspectors in the state trained by the Partnership for Response and Recovery (PaRR) to do disaster housing inspections. PaRR is contracted to FEMA to assist in disaster recovery. I've performed many of these inspections during our bouts with hurricanes over the years. That experience gives me unique insight in building and home inspections.
 I've passed the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE). The NHIE exam is a requirement in many states where home inspectors are required to be licensed. Though it's not a requirement in Florida, it's an important measurement of competency in the Home Inspection industry. And last but not least, I've completed and passed all requirements of the Professional Home Inspection Institute and am a certified graduate of their curriculum.
In addition to home inspection industry related training and certifications, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Information Systems from Florida State in 1977 and have remained self-employed in my business for over 25 years here in Central Florida.
